2010 Annual Training
Conference & Business Meeting
The National Organization for Mexican American Rights (NOMAR, Inc.) will once again host a
Conference geared to the Civil Rights, Equal Employment, Special Emphasis and Human
Resource Managers in Miami, Florida. Our two-day training conference will feature expert guest speakers providing valuable information on the hot topics in employment, specifically in the federal government, but with cross-over into the private sector. Workshop topics will include presentations on diversity management, equal employment opportunity, affirmative employment, forecast for job skills in demand, discussions on the environment and various federal agencies’ outreach efforts to the Hispanic Community as a sampling of our programs. As has been done traditionally, NOMAR will offer two important panel discussions as top programs at our conference; “La Mujer Hispana,” a panel of highly successful Latinas sharing their stories and a panel discussion by Hispanic Employment Program Managers at the headquarters agency level from Washington D.C. These panels have served to be outstanding forums for intense cross-discussion on issues affecting Hispanics and to share best practices for success. Other workshops and presentations address all three areas of our charter: education, civil rights and of course, employment. Please visit our 2008 & 2009 conference pages for a sampling of the types of programs and speakers we have featured.
